Sorting Out the Posse

This week we spoke and defined our app in greater detail amongst ourselves. To put out the essence of the app, we will be combining Jean Luca's and Antonella's app ideas. We created a brief that would help us in understanding the app better so I might as well just post that.
Hybrid App
March 16, 2017

Overview

We are going to create an application that is a hybrid of 2 apps we created in class. The app will consist of a productive schoology like system where lecturers can implement assignments and evaluate students based on their skill, if the student has a higher skill in a subject, he will be given an estimate of less time to complete as the assignment will be easier for him to complete. The assignment will be split up into tasks and subtask so every student will be organised with every section.
The app will also contain a customisable time table section where you can add or customise your own timetable with your own timetable of your daily routine. We will also include a versatile checklist where you can add and complete small tasks of your daily life. Adding to these features of the original app, we will be including a form interaction between student and lecturer where the student will be able to send a max 30sec video with his problem alternately you can create . The lecturer will then review this 30sec
video regarding the student’s question and solve it.  A trophy system will be rewarded for the lecturers to encourage them to solve the student’s problems

Tagging Tasks - I have no idea what i am doing, I know what i am doing.
Inquires through subtasks.
Tasks and deadlines are placed in the time table.
Lecturer Tags inquires by the time frame needed to be answered to give feedback to the student.
Short paths to get to messages.

Features

  1. Login system: ee.
  2. Registration system: ee.
  3. Create time table: ee.
  4. Modify time table: ee.
  5. Sync with an alarm: ee.
  6. Teacher can input a brief: When being assessed to an assignment, the student will get a brief description of the brief itself. Brief will be split up into tasks.
  7. Assignment student evaluation: you will be graded on how good you are on the project. Based on that grading you will get an estimation on hours necessary to achieve a standard ex. 30hrs for Advanced, 40hrs for intermediate, 60hrs for beginner.
  8. Calculate hours needed from evaluation: Tasks will have their own time of completion depending on your skill on such project ( A student which sucks in sound will need more time on the sound assignment than a student which works in the sound industry already).
  9. Show time need for completion compared to time completed: Hours spent on a task will help lecturers understand how much a student has actually spent time on the task and grade accordingly. If a student first take 30hrs on the first task then proceeds to take less and less time to complete others task, that will indicate improvement and eventually notify the teacher that the student is improving.
