Interactivity with inVision

Got tipped on this amazing website that would allow you input your app faces and make them intractable through your PC and also i discovered, your phone. It is quite amazing to say the least and I am glad that someone told me about it. Its relatively easy to yous as you just create buttons that link to other screens and there you go ... a working prototype. Now all I have to do is Find a way to export it.

So Much App Faces

Image
I finally finished the app faces. They took quite some time to do ... I could do so much more to improve on the layout and mechanics of the app but for obvious time constraints I have to stop and continue. I am quite pleased with the turnout. Points I could improve :  Colours Logo Visual Elements i.e Rewards, Resources and the game UI in general. Better social Experience ( I did not implement due to it not being worth it in the early stages of the app). Game Assets in general.  Develop a reward system based on the users play time. Better ways of managing and displaying locked apps. I'm pretty sure I could jot down a little more but i'm tired and also not to give you any more reasons to doubt my project :).

Making my app look nice

Have been working on the App faces and how they would look ... I'm actually having fun doing this but I am not quite sure how much effort I have to put in for it to be deemed enough but as always you are expected to go above and beyond to ensure a good mark. I probably still need to implement more faces to get the main points across in the presentation but I think i'm off to a good start. ORANGES

This is getting quite tiring, still need to find a way to create the define and create the app faces, should be fun though if i manage to pull it off. Thought Process Upon given the brief I started to think about apps which I want to use but can’t seem to ever do so. I searched for the dreaded anti-procrastination apps. I analysed  apps  because I do believe in the benefits they provide, including organizing and structuring assignments both personally and in teams and also creating an effective work flow. The reason I don’t use them is because I cant seem to focus on information displayed on a screen as well as I do on paper.   This is where I started researching apps which entertain and seem to follow without any problems, this led me to idle games. I played idle games before so I know the benefits and game time one can expect from these games . I wanted to find a way of connecting these two separate experiences, mainly the task management of apps merged with the u...

I started to research the points in the brief and also some apps which I deemed relevant to my project. Mainly focusing on anti-procrastination apps and idle games... I did quite a bit but i'm going to throw it here for safe measure. My View on apps I wouldn’t consider myself to be an avid app user, I don’t look for the next big app or spend more than 5 minutes playing a game. I believe it is due to how I use my time and the daily environment I live in. I travel by car so I rarely have long periods of time to actually use my phone and when I do actually arrive to a place I have things to do ... so using my phone for long periods is a rare occurrence for me. When working for school or work I have a fully working pc in front of me which in my opinion  can do anything my mobile can but better.  Another personal preference is the medium I am managing my content on,  I wouldn’t trade the feel of pen and paper for any digital based application other than when the work in...

Movie Night

The dreaded 4:30 lesson. Today we watched an episode of Black Mirror which has a viscous take on social media and its effects on society. Can't Say i was over excited as i'm sure I could have spent some time working on my assignments but the break was worth it. It was an over exaggeration of what is happening in today society, which includes but not limited to fake smiles and interaction ratings. I tried to find ways the app in used in the episode could help me but it just wasn't my style. Well I hate social media more now ...

I have finally thought of something of what I can do YAY ME. I was playing an idle game about developing an managing a chicken coop. The aim of the game is to mindlessly upgrade everything with resources the chicken produce to then upgrade everything again. It's a never ending cycle with no meaning. What if the meaning of the Idle Game I create will be the anti-procrastination theme of an app? Achieving goals in the anti-procrastination side of the app will reward you with resources to use in the idle side of the game. will develop further. #showerthoughts. Next step is to research Apps related to what I want and get a better idea.

And So It Begins

As I was given the brief, it was another shock to the already shocking list of things I have to do. That is 7 Assignments in total WOP WOP. From what I can gather we have to research any app of any type and dissect its problems and strengths which in turn we will use to create our own app. The more direction you need right now the less you get. I look at apps on Playstore and God I had no idea what I was doing. I ended up downloading a Trump Sound Board for no apparent reason at all. I did at least choose a theme for the app I am going to create. ANTI-PROCRASTINATION. The ever looming problem students have, I think that this in combination with redd's Gamification statement could create something new and different. I did spend my fair share of time trying organization apps so I do know what it entails but how could I make them fun ??!?! Will Continue later, to much to take in today.
